Véritable foisonnement d’originalité asiatique, le CanAsian International Dance Festival est un événement annuel établi à Toronto. Le MAI et Tangente offrent un aperçu de ce dynamique festival par la présentation de trois courts solos, une commande d’œuvres réalisées en collaboration avec trois mentors. Trois interprètes et chorégraphes ont été couplés à autant de vétérans en danse contemporaine : William Yong à Tedd Robinson (Ottawa), Meena Murugesan à Janet O’Shea (Los Angeles) et Tomomi Morimoto à Elizabeth Langley (Montréal).

Fostering diverse expressions of Asian aesthetics through dance, the CanAsian International Dance Festival is an annual event held in Toronto. Collaboratively, the MAI and Tangente offer a sampling of this dynamic festival with three short solos, commissioned pieces created in collaboration with three mentors. Three dancers and choreographers were paired with three veterans of contemporary dance: William Yong with Tedd Robinson (Ottawa), Meena Murugesan with Janet O’Shea (Los Angeles) and Tomomi Morimoto with Elizabeth Langley (Montreal).
