Winner of the TD Grand Prize Jazz Award of the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2015 and of the Stingray Jazz Rising Star Award in 2016, this young, creative and very talented quintet founded by trumpeter and composer Rachel Therrien in 2009, figures in the most creative jazz ensemble of her generation. Strong of three albums (On Track, 2011; Home Inspiration, 2014 et Why Don’t You Try, 2017) and of a enviable complicity within themselves, the Rachel Therrien Quintet played all over Canada in the most prestigious jazz clubs and festivals.
