Ce récital est une invitation à une aventure explorant l'humour et l'éclat de Haydn, l'obscurité et la virtuosité de Ravel et le drame émotionnel de Scriabin. 

The recital invites you to an adventure exploring the humour and brilliance of Haydn, the darkness and virtuosity of Ravel, and the emotional drama of Scriabin. 

Angela Szu-Hsuan Wu began her musical training in her native country, Taiwan. After moving to Canada in 2008, she attended the Academy for Young Artists at Mount Royal University in Calgary. At age 16, she was admitted to McGill University 

In her early years, Angela has received prizes and scholarships at local, provincial, and national levels in Canada, including the first prize at the Canadian Music Competition in 2012. After winning the Calgary Concerto Competition, she has been invited several times to perform with the Calgary Civic Symphony. 

Angela has participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists, such as Benedetto Lupo, John O’Conor, André Laplante, Konstantin Scherbakov, Alexei Lubimov, and Philippe Cassard. She has also attended numerous summer music festivals, including the Meadowmount School of Music in NY, the Adamant School of Music in Vermont, the International Music Workshop and Festival in Germany, and the Tibor Varga Academy in Switzerland. 

Angela obtained a bachelor’s degree in performance from McGill University in 2016 and is continuing her studies there in Graduate Diploma in Performance, with scholarships. Her teachers include Sara Laimon and Kyoko Hashimoto; she also takes regular private lessons with André Laplante. 

Originaire de Taiwan, Angela Szu-Hsuan Wu obtenu un baccalauréat n interprétation à l’université McGill en 2016. Boursière, elle continue maintenant ses études à diplôme en interprétation à la même université. Elle a étudié avec les professeurs Sara Laimon, André Laplante, et Kyoko Hashimoto. Elle a reçu quelque prix de concours locaux, provinciaux et nationaux, en autres le premier prix du Concours de musique du Canada en 2012. Elle a aussi participé à des classes de maitre donnes par des pianistes célèbres tel que Benedetto Lupo, John O’Conor, André Laplante, Konstantin Scherbakov, Alexei Lubimov, et Philippe Cassard. De plus, elle a assisté à des festivals de musique au États-Unis, en Allemagne et en Suisse.
